Literature Text

I saw you two days ago
But I don’t think you saw me
I waved at you and smiled
But I guess you didn’t see.

Or perhaps you don’t remember
After all, it’s been some time.
You probably just don’t remember
Those days so far behind.

‘Cause that was long before
When the grass was still green
And the breeze was still warm
And my happiness was seen.

But now it’s fall
And the leaves are red.
The grass is crisp,
And my heart is dead.

I can’t see the blue
Of the sky up above
And I just don’t remember
What it was to be in love.

So when I saw you
In the graveyard that day,
I thought I must be mistaken
‘Cause I’d never seen you that way.

You walked with a purpose
And I wish I had known
Or else I would have stopped you
And kept you from going alone.

They found you one day ago
Sitting cold beneath a cross
And they called me right away
And told me of your loss.

Your blue eyes were open
But I guess you didn’t see.
And your gaze was so glassy...
How could you have seen me?
this one was written...oh...probably three years ago? It's another of my favorites.

enjoy.

That's really sad :-( I like the pic that goes with it. You're very good at writing poetry; it flows very well. (I can't write poetry to save my life :P)
